FAQ
What ages do you teach?
I work with children ages 6 and up, as well as teens and adults. Lessons are thoughtfully adapted to each student’s age, experience, and learning style.
Is my child too young to start drum lessons?
Most children are ready around age 6, once they can comfortably follow directions and sit at the drum set. I focus on coordination, rhythm, listening skills, and confidence—always in an encouraging, age-appropriate way.
Do students need prior musical experience?
No experience is required. Many of my students begin as complete beginners. Lessons are structured to build strong fundamentals from the very start.
What is your teaching style like?
My approach is patient, structured, and supportive. I aim to create a fun, calm learning environment where students feel encouraged to try, make mistakes, and grow at their own pace.
Do you offer in-home lessons?
Yes. I provide mobile, in-home lessons throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. This allows families to enjoy high-quality instruction without the stress of travel.
How long are lessons?
Most families choose weekly 45 or 60-minute lessons, depending on the student’s age and focus level. I’m happy to help recommend the best option.
What does my child need for lessons?
Just drumsticks, and headphones. I'll provide a drum set if you already do not have one. I make it really easy. All you have to do is show up and I'll do the rest.
How is progress measured?
Progress is measured through improved coordination, timing, confidence, and musical understanding. Parents are always welcome to ask questions or check in on their child’s development.
How do scheduling and enrollment work?
Lessons are offered on a monthly enrollment basis to ensure consistency and steady progress. Availability is limited to maintain quality instruction.
